1) Crude Oil Prices
Paraffin wax is derived from petroleum refining. Any rise or fall in crude oil prices directly impacts feedstock and energy costs, influencing wax pricing.
2) Oil Content & Grade
Fully refined (<1% oil) is more expensive due to additional refining. Semi-refined (1–7%) is more cost-efficient, making grade selection a major pricing factor.
3) Supply & Demand Balance
Higher demand from candle, packaging, cosmetics, and industrial sectors pushes prices upward, while oversupply or weak demand creates downward pressure.
